Senior Charter Broker

Tandy’s first job, at the age of 15, was working after school as a listing secretary for a prominent international yacht brokerage company. When she graduated from high school, she sailed between Newport, Rhode Island and Fort Lauderdale for the summer before studying at the University of Chicago. But the warm weather and sea were too strong a calling and she returned to Fort Lauderdale to continue her studies while working full-time as a personal assistant to three very busy yacht brokers. Tandy then went on to work for several well-known yacht surveyors, mainly typing up surveys but sometimes crawling alongside them in bilges, too. She then spent time sailing, cruising the Mediterranean and doing three trans-Atlantic crossings. It was always her ambition to become a charter broker and, following a year establishing the CNI crew department, Tandy achieved her aim and has now been with the company for 17 happy and successful years, organising charters with her unique attention to detail.
