The Marine Industry has been a lifelong passion for Mike on both personal and professional levels, leading to a career of more than 30 years as a Captain, Project Manager, Manager and Owner’s Representative working with both Private and Commercial Vessels, power and sail.

Mike has a Degree in Economics, and served as an Executive Officer in the RAN on patrol craft, minesweepers, supply vessels and destroyers throughout the Pacific and Asia. His extensive list of qualifications includes a MCA Master 3000 ton license, as well as being a qualified Surveyor, Broker and ISM/ISPS Auditor.

Mike’s experience with representing Owners and managing their projects led him to managing new builds and extensive refits in some of the finest shipyards in the world. This means he can offer a deep understanding of assessing quality, value, maintenance needs, and the regulations and requirements for all vessels. This depth of experience led him to be CEO of RMK Merrill-Stevens shipyard in Miami until just recently, and is now focused on his new role as Director of US Yacht Management for Camper and Nicholsons International based in Fort Lauderdale.
