Rick Morales
Yacht Broker
Growing up with boats in the Caribbean, it was inevitable that Rick’s passion would become boats and the sea. Rick started sailing at a very early age, and became active in Ocean Racing, crewing in many of the regattas on the Caribbean circuit. He captained his first sailing yacht by the age of 20 before moving over to motor yachts. Rick joined CNI in 2005, with an impressive background as Captain to some of the finest motor yachts built, including the 78m Royal Denship “Princess Mariana” and the 56m Benetti “Allegro”. He also continues to do short term relief captain work to stay up-to-date on the latest technology and regulations. Rick holds a USCG 3000 ton All Oceans Master’s license, as well as 18 other licenses and certificates, including a Private Aircraft pilot license. Rick also has wide experience in the operation and management of large yachts, having spent 3 years at the Feadship shipyard as the Owner’s Representative supervising the construction of the 54m “Kisses”, which he later captained. This provides him with specific knowledge of all aspects of large yacht ownership, as well as construction and outfitting, enabling Rick to assist his clients far beyond the standard brokerage parameters.
