What are the Explorer Awards?
These prestigious yachting awards take place on March 21st and are held at the Yacht Club de Monaco, adjacent to Port Hercule - the superyacht capital of the world. The YCM Explorer Awards La Belle Classe Superyachts are organised under the presidency of HSH Prince Albert II and were established in 2018. The Explorer Awards offer yacht industry recognition for designers and shipyards and superyacht recognition for owners.
Superyacht recognition
The Explorer Awards recognise superyacht owners who have made a commitment to protecting the marine environment. This can mean superyacht recognition for innovative aspects of yacht’s design, or its operational use.
Maritime Excellence Award
These maritime excellence awards comprise four prizes that pay tribute to the explorers of tomorrow. The award categories include Technology & Innovation, Mediation and Science, Adventure & Environmental Ethics, and ‘Coup de Coeur’.
Yacht industry recognition
As prestigious yachting awards, the jury comprises several industry professionals. Previous superyachts to have received this yacht industry recognition include 87m OceanXplorer, 60m SY Seahawk, 80m Artefact, and 55m Gene Machine. The awards are presented during an exclusive evening gala held at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
