Monte Carlo SBM 150th Anniversary
5th - 7th Jul 2013
This year sees the legendary Monte Carlo SBM celebrate its 150th anniversary milestone with a spectacular ‘Weekend d’Exception’.
As one of the world’s leading players in the luxury tourism sector, the SBM group is set to honour its institutional and trade excellence in dazzling style. The weekend will include a ‘Dinner on the Grass’ by famed chef extraordinaire Alain Ducasse at Place du Casino followed by an exclusive concert at the Opera Garner with performances by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, Lang-Lang on the piano, Jamie Cullum and Dame Shirley Bassey with a glittering after party held at Jimmy’z Night Club.
Founded in 1863 by François Blanc by invitation of Prince Charles III of Monaco, the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) is responsible for such legendary landmarks as the Monte Carlo Casino, Hôtel de Paris, Café de Paris and the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo. François’ successors have since paid tribute to his revolutionary vision by creating the world-renowned Monte Carlo Golf Club and Country Club, Jimmy’z nightclub and Buddha-Bar Monte Carlo which each year play host to prestigious sporting events and the world’s elite clientele.
