Panerai British Classic Week
18th - 25th Jul 2015
A definite in every sailing aficionado’s diary, the Panerai British Classic Week is a spectacular regatta bringing together dozens of sailing yachts to race in the legendary waters of the Solent around the Isle of Wight in the UK.
Renowned for the uniqueness of its brilliant winds and tides, since 2010 the waters of Northern Europe have attracted many from far and wide to partake in some of the world's most important and longest running regattas. The Panerai British Classic Week is no exception where five intense races will be held leading up to the ultimate victory at the end of the regatta all while following the same course that gave rise to the famous America’s Cup back in 1851.
This year’s regatta, held between 18 - 25 July, looks to be an exciting one with an anticipated bigger entry this year with many classic yachts coming from around the globe to race in the Solent. The racing is once again being organised by Royal Yacht Squadron Racing with a six race series plus a stand-alone Around the Island Race on Monday 20th July, following the original clockwise course of the first America’s Cup.
