A strong contingent of super yachts will line up for the thrilling inaugural The Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) Transatlantic Race on 29 November, sponsored by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas and supported by the International Maxi Association.

Yachts will set sail on a 2,800 nautical-mile journey from Puerto Calero, Lanzarote, meandering the Canaries before heading for the crystal waters of Port Louis Marina, Grenada. Safely out of hurricane reach, Grenada offers perfect cruising plus fabulous on-shore experiences.

Racing die-hards will have time for the Rolex Middle Sea beforehand and several Caribbean regattas afterwards, before heading back for the Atlantic racing seasons. The race will be a feeder for the annual RORC Caribbean 600 taking place in Antigua in February.

The RORC racing calendar attracts sailors from all over the world to compete during the season in over 20 races and comprises a series of highly competitive inshore and offshore IRC Rated events throughout the year
