The World Superyacht Awards announced the names of its 2012 finalists at the beginning of the year, confirming Camper & Nicholsons still has a number of fantastic yachts in contention to receive a highly regarded Neptune trophy. This year sees one of 2011's most eagerly awaited launches - the 60m (196’1) DARLINGS DANAMA – fighting it out to be crowned Best Displacement Motoryacht of 500GT to 1,299GT. DARLINGS DANAMA was built in collaboration with Camper & Nicholsons and is available to charter.
The decision will be unveiled at the seventh annual award ceremony, which is set to take place on 5thMay 2012 at the spectacular Çırağan Palace Kempinski, in the beautiful city of Istanbul. This celebrated gala dinner will be attended by the most influential players in the superyacht industry, as well as a select group of yacht owners. Michael Payne - Camper & NIcholsons’ CCO - offers his congratulations to owners of this year’s finalists, "To be short-listed for a World Superyacht Award is a notable achievement in itself, especially this year as the industry has witnessed the launch of some extraordinary yachts, but to be a finalist is a serious feat. For a yacht to be still in the running demonstrates a vessel which not only boasts superior design and innovation, but exceptional quality and performance.”
As proud sponsors of the World Superyacht Awards, Camper & Nicholsons will bring you the latest news on the finalists and details of winning yachts as soon as they are announced. More details to follow in the coming weeks.
