2014 St Barths Bucket Regatta round-up

4th Apr 2014

Over 30 sailing yachts participated in the 2014 St Barths Bucket Regatta last weekend, including two from the C&NI sales and charter fleet.

The 19th edition of the St Barths Bucket Regatta was an exciting and fun weekend for all who participated and spectated on the chic French island in the Caribbean. As supporting sponsors of the event, Camper & Nicholsons' brokers were onboard and on the docks to cheer on the participants from the Camper & Nicholsons fleet, which included the 50m (164') Silencio and the 54m (177'1) Parsifal III

Both of the stunning Perini Navi yachts from the charter and sales fleet performed extremely well. Throughout the race, the magnificent 50m (164') Silencio pulled out all the stops and came a proud first in the Grand Dames medium course 21nm race with a finish time at a time of 2:24:16pm. Equally dashing was the 54m (177'1) Parsifal III which came sixth at a time of 2:53:04pm.

In the spirit of giving back and as has been custom every year, the regatta organisers chose to donate a cheque for €20,000 to a local school while each of the four class winners received a wonderful handcrafted Ship's Bell Clock from Chelsea Click.
