A luxury motor yacht cruise helps raise remarkable sums for breast cancer

21st Feb 2012

Camper & Nicholsons is always eager to support good causes and this January it pulled together its resources to help the highly respected cancer charity 'Susan G. Komen for the Cure' raise a staggering $1,000,000.

The impressive funds were gathered over one charity gala dinner, The Perfect Pink Party, held in the beautiful grounds of Mar-a-Lago.  Boasting a long and impressive guest list - including Senator Bill Nelson, Florida Governor Rick Scott and Donald J. Trump, as well as Camper & Nicholsons’ brokers, clients and owners - the evening stirred unwavering generosity from the event’s attendees through an extraordinary auction.  During the course of the evening guests had the opportunity to bid for formidable prizes and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.  The event’s top prize was a four-day cruise onboard the luxury motor yacht One More Toy, a colossal donation valued at $100,000.  The lucky successful bidder won the chance to experience the unrivalled freedom which cruising at sea offers, aboard a truly spectacular yacht.  One More Toy presents 155 feet of luxury and includes spacious and private accommodation for 12 guests, top of the range entertainment systems and a fantastic list of watertoys. The money raised from the auction of One More Toy will help critical national research programmes.

The Perfect Pink Party was another successful campaign in Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s three-decade fight against breast cancer.  For more information on this charity, The Perfect Pink Party or the money raised during the evening, please contact your Camper & Nicholsons broker.
