Camper & Nicholsons Yacht Management Division prepares to launch new software system
For several months the Camper & Nicholsons Yacht Management Division has been trialing a new fully integrated Human Resources Management and Payroll System to benefit the Captains and crew of the yachts in our managed fleet. Our objective was to implement a software system that could effectively manage all the core human resources aspects required for large yachts.
The new YMD Human Resources System incorporates Crew Management, Crew Planning and Payroll, making it possible to quickly produce reports showing up to date crew lists, next of kin lists, expired certificates and much more. Issuing of documents such as SEAs, letters of employment and testimonials are also simplified, along with the administration of rotational personnel and manning hours.
The comprehensive Payroll management system stores all details including holidays and other entitlements, allowing rapid response to any query raised by crew members or owners. All payment data is fully integrated with the CNI accounting system, making this a powerful tool which allows the user to easily retrieve any required information.
With a view to rolling out the new system in the coming months, our long term objective is that all fully managed yachts will be able to effectively manage their own crew HR updates and extract information, crew lists and reports as required and training will be provided to ensure our yachts and crew can fully benefit from all aspects of the new system.
