Camper & Nicholsons' fundraiser for children’s heart disease
Camper & Nicholsons are delighted to announce that our team has again posted a sensational result in the No Finish Line Charity event in Monaco, running and walking nearly 1000 kms over eight days to raise funds for disadvantaged children.
The course was open 24 hours a day between the 15 - 23 November, over which time a staggering 3,423,223 kilometres were clocked, an immense effort that translates to €393,672 to be donated to children in need of life-saving treatments.
As the event came to a close on Sunday afternoon, the 50-strong team from C&NI had clocked up 1000 kilometers along the course at Port Hercule, once again taking out top spot for the yachting industry at 72nd place out of 362 teams.
Each runner and walker had an electronic tag on their shoe to monitor the miles; with each kilometre, Camper & Nicholsons donated €1 to the Cardiothoracic Hospital in Monaco to cover the cost of heart surgery for children with heart disease from underdeveloped countries.
Of the C&NI team, Ian O’Shea took out top honours with an amazing 112 kms, with Oana Crucioi close behind at 101 kms and Stefan Voisin taking third place, covering an impressive 81kms.
The event, organised by Monaco charity Children & Future and now in its 15th year, is just going from strength to strength- almost 12 000 people participated this year.
Camper & Nicholsons is always proud to be part of such a fantastic cause, and looks forward to the challenge again next year.
