Explore the Gateway to the Orient in Turkey this Charter Season

19th Feb 2014

Caught between eastern and western worlds, the contrasting coastline of Turkey is carved with history and is home to a medley of beautiful beaches, some of which are only accessible by boat. Camper & Nicholsons International is offering an exceptional range of motor and sailing yachts there this spring.

The most popular stretch is known as the ‘Turquoise Coast’ in southern Turkey. Dotted with idyllic fishing harbours and whitewashed buildings, this Turkish Riviera pulsates with vibrant energy and glamorous nightlife. Over the millennia, artistic heritage and magical tradition have become irrevocably intertwined; leaving countless treasures to explore.

Given the favourable climate, Turkey can be visited all year round but to fully take advantage of its clear warm waters, spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) are considered good months to visit since the climate is perfect for sightseeing on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts then.

The following C&NI charter yachts are to be considered:

64.5m (211'6) Benetti built Silver Angel

43m (141') Feadship built Eclipse

42m (138') Cizgi Yat built E&E

42m (137'9) Izar built Gloria Teresa

36.02m CBI Navi built  Metsuyan IV

Spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) are the best times to visit, since the climate will be perfect for sightseeing in İstanbul and on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, and it will be cool in central Anatolia, but not unpleasantly so. Visiting before mid-June or after August may also help you avoid mosquitoes
