For Sale: Easy Rider
Easy Rider is a rare find. New for sale with Camper & Nicholsons, the 35.35m (116’) tri-deck motor yacht Easy Rider offers the best of both worlds, seamlessly combining pedigree design with modern comforts.
Her design and build team is a veritable who’s who of American yachting greats. Exterior design comes from the legendary naval architect Jack Hargrave, while interiors are by Palmer Johnson. Launched by US builder Hatteras in 1997, she is one of only a handful of sisterships and was built for an experienced owner who knew exactly what he wanted.
While Easy Rider has timeless lines, proven design and classic appeal, she is also in like-new, immaculate condition, fresh from a refit that took place in Florida in 2014. The recent refit saw a major facelift with new paint, interiors, electronics and engine room updates. That’s not all that’s new – Easy Rider has a brand new 2015 RIB tender and two 2015 Jet Skis. These additions to her toy box will add to Easy Rider’s appeal as a popular charter yacht.
“This yacht is ideal for families and charterers,” says Michael Rafferty of Camper & Nicholsons. Indeed, her spacious layout, bevy of toys and comfortable interior make her an ideal family yacht – and she is already a charter favourite. Much of this is afforded to her smart layout, which gives guests equitably spacious accommodations. In addition to the full-beam master, which boasts a king-size bed and enormous his and hers en-suite with Jacuzzi bathtub, there are two plush queen size VIP staterooms and one twin stateroom.
Easy Rider is all about wide open spaces – she offers excellent interior volumes for a 35 metre, much thanks to her generous 7.32 metre beam, as well as great outdoor spaces with a walk-around main deck and a roomy bridge deck. Her interior is warm and inviting, with a blend of high gloss exotic woods including areas of stunning fiddlecut. The stairway in the formal dining salon is a stand-out feature, its bannister curving beautifully towards the upper deck. While at first glance Easy Rider’s interior might seem classic and stately, gorgeous details such as custom sinks, marble counters, tile inlays, detailed headboards and recessed ceilings add intrigue.
The nod to classic styling is seen on Easy Rider's expansive outside decks, with comfortable lounges in wicker, wood and nautically inspired blue cushions. She has myriad places for owner and guests to spread out in the fresh air, with an open sun deck, bridge deck and a covered aft deck with dining table, ideal for al fresco meals or sundowner cocktails. Opportunities for outdoor fun and entertaining abound, just look to the barbecue, outdoor bar and bathing platforms.
With a proven hull design from Hatteras, this yacht is ready to go places. Easy Rider benefits from a transatlantic range yet has a modest draft so she can easily tuck into shallow Bahamas’ harbours. Underwater lights will make her stand out in any anchorage or marina.
Easy Rider is certainly easy to love. She is a modern classic yacht that stands above the rest and is being offered for a competitive price. “Easy Rider is the best priced tri-deck on the market,” says Michael Rafferty of Campers & Nicholsons. “She is in excellent condition and well priced."
