For Sale: La Sultana

22nd Oct 2015

Built in 1962 to carry passengers in the Black Sea and then used for strategic purposes by the Soviet Union, the 65.4m (214’6) La Sultana has been transformed into a classically beautiful private yacht.

Launched in 2015, she underwent a major seven-year rebuild that saw over 1.2 million hours of labour. Stripped from heel to her upper deck, she experienced a reconfiguration of her interior and exterior spaces, yet her authenticity and history has been preserved through her exceptional Art Déco - come oriental - style interior.

La Sultana can accommodate 17 crew members and up to 12 guests in seven large and sophisticated en-suite staterooms. With ample lounging, seating and dining areas, her living spaces feature classic furnishings. Marble baths, oynx fixtures, mahogany, cherry wood and cedar wood run throughout, with her timeless styling creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

This six-deck vessel plays host to five pools, a beach club, helipad, Jacuzzi, outdoor bar and sumptuous lounging and bathing areas. She has a range of toys including two jet skis, kayaks and an array of diving equipment. Offering direct access to the sea, she is the perfect yacht for a fun filled charter. Boasting a huge upper deck, La Sultana also has the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 150 people.

Having integrated the most modern and advanced technology, her brand new Mitsubishi engine propels her steel hull and aluminium superstructure to a maximum speed of 13 knots. With a cruising speed of 11 knots, she has a range of 5,500 nautical miles from her 46,000 fuel tanks.

A similar pedigree yacht to the famous Christina O, La Sultana is the perfect combination between tradition and modernity and is a fantastic charter purchase investment.
