Heesen Yachts Launch 50m Crazy Me
Heesen Yachts have announced the launch of the 50m all-aluminium, semi-displacement motor yacht, Crazy Me, from their facility in Oss, Holland.
She was christened during a private ceremony hosted by her Owners to acknowledge the fine craftsmanship and hard work of the shipyard’s staff and subcontractors who created her. From her conception, the Owner worked closely with the shipyard and designers to build a vessel that pushed the boundaries of creativity and yacht design, ideas that were fundamental in the success of this truly unique build.
Gary Grant is responsible for her striking exterior design and has used pure, clean lines to produce a superyacht that stands out from the crowd. One of the most innovative elements in her design is the use of formed glass which, as well as looking great, is very strong and serves as good sound insulation as well as providing excellent visibility.
Her interior was styled by renowned Italian designer Cristiano Gatta who has focused on linear, contemporary features to create contemporary living spaces that utilise the yacht's considerable interior volume. She sleeps up to twelve guests in six staterooms including an Owner’s suite, one VIP stateroom and four double cabins.
Out on her sundeck she features a large custom glass-bottomed pool which allows for natural light to dapple the main deck seating area below. She also plays host to a state-of-the-art music system complete with fully customised speaker supplier never seen on a yacht before.
Crazy Me will undergo sea trials in the North Sea and delivery to her Owners is due in June 2013.
