High spirits at 2014's Cannes Yachting Festival
High attendance, genuine enquires and a hive of activity at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival left Camper & Nicholsons' brokers feeling positive that this autumn will be another busy season for the brokerage market.
Reports from this year's Cannes Yachting Festival reconfirm recent industry reports that the brokerage market is enjoying a boom. Broker Simon Goldsworthy reported, “The feeling at Cannes was very upbeat this year. There were plenty of visitors and some very serious clients were doing their window shopping. Sentiment among Brokers is also very positive, everyone seems very busy and we expect to have some significant sales this autumn.’
Cannes Yachting Festival has always been a main event in the yachting calendar but over the last few years those behind the event have concentrated on developing the quality of the show and of services available for the exhibitors as well as for the visitors. Their efforts certainly prevailed this year as guests enjoyed Cannes marina’s recently completed major renovations, which included a new RIB area on the water and a new Shopping Village featuring luxury lifestyle brands.
Vessels on display from the Camper & Nicholsons's fleet also proved extremely poplular over the week, with 63.4m (208') Polar Star, 56.73m (186'1) Cleopatra, 43m (141') Axantha II, 36.58m (120') Tanusha, 32.07m (105'3) Iemanja, 29.57m (97') Starship and 28m (91'1) Don Giovanni all enjoying back-to-back visits.
Camper & Nicholsons International would like to thank everyone who made this such a successful week, especially our event sponsors C&N Marinas, Aston Martin and Wider.
