Illusion V wins Asia Boating Award
Congratulations to motor yacht IllusionV for winning the 'Best Yacht Design' category at this year's Asia Boating Awards. Created by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines, the annual Asia Boating Awards recognise the best of the maritime industry.
Launched in 2005, the Asia Boating Awards has turned into a prestigious event that gives VIP guests and industry insiders the chance to acknowledge and celebrate the yachting world's finest offerings in Hong Kong - one of Asia’s most vibrant maritime cities.
Glen Watson, Editor-in-Chief, Asia-Pacific Boating, comments on the awards: “The Asian boating market is complex and sometimes difficult to navigate, so the global and regional brands that are succeeding here deserve to be recognised for all of their hard work. Gathering all the nominees and special guests together for the annual black-tie Asia Boating Awards is a fantastic way to celebrate their successes.”
This year's competition was the awards' toughest yet, with some high calibre nominees fighting it out to receive one of the coveted awards. Taking top spot in the 'Best Yacht Design' category was the recently launched 58m (190’3) Illusion V from the Camper & Nicholsons fleet. Impressing judges with her originality, effectiveness, functionality, and superb layout, Illusion V prevailed over some of the most celebrated vessels, including the 104m (341’2) Quantum Blue, the 91.5m (300’) Equanimty, the 60m (196’1) Event, the 48m (157’5) Wisp and the 46.22m (151’6) Como. Congratulations to the team behind the magnificent build, including Benetti, Green & Mingarelli, and her Owner and crew.
