LAMIMA & theThai children from Yaowawit school
Between charters, the owner of LAMIMA kindly welcomed a class of local Thai children from Yaowawit school for a day of fun and watersports onboard LAMIMA this weekend. Yaowawit ( Children’s World Academy in Thai) is wonderful project and home to 120 children ranging from 3 to 18 years old. Orphaned, neglected, abused, abandoned or trafficked; they have been deprived of the nurturing family environment that teaches children about communication, social skills and personal hygiene. Under their care, the children learn how to play, make friends and have fun as though they were one big family.
Onboard LAMIMA, the children were treated to welcome drinks underway before a morning of jetski tours by the Captain and crew and banana rides much to the children’s amusement. After a morning of fun and laughter the children were treated to lunch and a presentation of LAMIMA and how the yacht operates.
‘The children were very interested in learning about life on board and it was delightful to see them so happy. We all had a wonderful day and the kids want to come back next year- a success!!', Dominique Gerardin-owner of Lamima.
