The brokerage sector concluded 51 superyacht sales during July, which is a 4% drop on July 2014 and an increase of 6% on the previous month of June, which saw 48 yachts sold. The largest yacht sold in July was a 55m Sterling motor yacht from 1986, followed by a 50m Delta Marine. Of the 51 superyachts sold, split 47/4 motor to sail, 4% were over 50-metres, 15% were between 40 - 50-metres, and 81% were sized between 24 - 40-metres.
Looking back at the past seven months of 2015, we can report that a total of 286 yachts have been sold to date. Of the 286 yachts sold, sailing yachts now account for 20.
Several new superyachts joined the market for sale in July, the largest yacht now for sale on the brokerage market is a 122m Lubeck Yacht, and the largest yacht to join the brokerage fleet in July was a 55m Turquoise Yacht built in 2011.
A big influx of new brokerage listings is expected next month, as the industry's largest shows Cannes and Monaco, both during September, typically stir a hive of market activity.
