Monaco Yacht Show 2014
The sun has set on another Monaco Yacht Show and a very busy, but satisfying, four days for Camper & Nicholsons that delivered lots of interest, enquires, new contacts and happy clients.
Although Camper & Nicholsons' are old hands at partaking in the Monaco Yacht Show, this year’s event brought about plenty of firsts for the team. C&NI's famous Tuesday evening cocktail soirée was held for the first time in the Monaco Yacht Club’s spectacular new premises. Nearly three hundred guests from the industry made their way to the 5th floor terrace for breathtaking views over Port Hercules and the superyachts in the show. Lucky guests were also treated to a private collection of inspiring works from experts in fine art, Gladwell & Patterson, as well as made-to-order cocktails and delicious wines, thanks to Casillero del Diablo.
Amongst the superb fleet on show was the newest delivery from the Italian Benetti shipyard - the 58m (190’3) superyacht Illusion I. Displayed at the heart of the show, this much talked about Benetti quickly became one of the event's star attractions. We also had a number of new listings on display during the week, including the 63.4m (208') Polar Star, the 51.7m (169’7) aluminum cruising sloop Red Dragon, the 47.55m (156’) Princess Too, the 47m (154'2) Yalla, the 46.6m (152'1) Project 12, the 44.9m (147’3) Bravado and the 40m (131'2) Galatea from Heesen Yachts. Camper & Nicholsons also had a number of yachts at anchor, including the 72.4m (237') RM Elegant, the 53.4m (175'2) Tales, 46.3m (151'1) Lulworth, 43m (141') Axantha II, 43m (139'9) Hana and 36.58m (120') Tanusha.
Our newly designed, state-of-the-art stand was a hub of activity, attracting a constant flow of friends, guests and clients in need of C&NI's expertise. Broker David Seal summarised the event as a great success; "C&NI's presence at these shows continues to be one step ahead. With cocktail parties on Polar Star and Bravado, a fleet of Aston Martin Rapide cars at the disposition of clients, two WIDER 32' express cruiser shuttles to facilitate movement around the Show, Camper & Nicholsons once again stood out for their level of customer service and attention to detail."
C&NI would like to thank all their sponsors for their support and generiosity over the week, including ABN AMRO, Arc & Co, Arnold & Son, Aston Martin, Beauchamp Estate, British Virgin Islands Tourism Board, Cassillero del Diablo, C&N Marinas, Dolphin Wear, Elite Traveler, Gladwell & Patterson, Onboard Online, Piper Heidsieck, Stefano Ricci and Wider Yachts.
