New yachts, New Year

1st Oct 2014

It's October, which means it's time to start thinking about New Year plans and what better way to see in 2015 than aboard a brand spanking new yacht from the Camper & Nicholsons's charter fleet.

2014 has seen a number of extraordinary new builds delivered and Camper & Nicholsons have been lucky enough to welcome many of these yachts into its charter fleet. With so much choice out there, C&NI have compiled an insider guide to the best new yachts for the best New Year.

The just launched Illusion V provides a show-stopping platform for New Year revelry:  Designed to represent the epitome of elegance, Illusion I's contemporary interior incorporates exotic materials such as walnut, onyx, Lalique glass, parchment and silks, all of which create an inviting backdrop to the stunning vistas viewed from the full height windows. Up on deck, her spaces have been carefully planned for optimum privacy and comfort. Her sun deck is perfectly setup for ‘at sea’ entertaining and houses a large Jacuzzi, which is surrounded by sunbathing loungers, bar and barbecue. With such a long list of artfully crafted features - as well as an incomparable selection of water toys, scuba gear, fishing equipment and inflatables - there is no arguing Illusion I offers the finest in barefoot luxury.

Illusion V is available in the Caribbean this winter, at a weekly rate starting from $350,000.

Offering the charm of an Indonesian two-masted phinisi with opulent luxuries of modern yacht design, Lamima promises a cultural New Year full of adventure: Lamima is the vision of esteemed yacht designer Marcelo Penna, who wanted to create a vessel that merged traditional Indonesian hospitality with modern superyacht opulence. In 2012 boat builders of Ara, Sulawesi, skillfully set about constructing, what would be the world's largest wooden sailing yacht. Their creation is a 65.2m (213’9) yacht like no other. Onboard is an expert tour guide, whose deep understanding of the landscape - as well as local customs, culture and folklore - has led him to work with the National Geographic. Wherever you end up, his legendary tales promise to give you a colourful insight into these fascinating lands.

Lamima is available in southeast Asia this winter, at an all-inclusive rate of €190,000.

Innovatively designed to impress in both space and style, the sublime Blush offers the ideal setting for a sophisticated soirée: Her inviting interior evokes a contemporary Scandinavian/Californian feel alluring to a young, trendy charter clientele. Guests will appreciate her unparalleled luxury, refreshingly chic interiors and luscious accommodation for up to 10 charter guests in a full beam master suite with private balcony, two double staterooms on the main deck and two twin staterooms on the lower deck.

Blush is available in the West Mediterranean this winter, at a weekly rate starting from €200,000.
