SOLD: 50m Heesen Project Alba
Camper & Nicholsons announce the sale of YN 18050, Project Alba, to be built at the prestigious Heesen Yacht shipyard. Bought by an experienced owner, Project Alba is already under construction at the renowned Dutch yard, giving her new owner all the advantages of a new build without the long lead-time.
Project Alba is a 50-metre semi-displacement motor yacht. "She has the largest volume of any yacht of her size and still delivers an excellent top speed of 23 knots thanks to two high power-to-weight ratio MTU 2,880kW engines, combined with Heesen’s acknowledged expertise in weight reduction," says Camper & Nicholsons broker Arne Ploch. "It has been a pleasure to work with such a well regarded yard."
Her contemporary interior design is by Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, who has previously collaborated with two other builds in Heesen’s award-winning 50-metre semi-displacement class. Exterior design is by Frank Laupman for Omega Architects.
"The interior design, created in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, combines contemporary aesthetics with a classic layout to reflect Heesen’s heritage,” says Francesco Paszkowski. "We played with contrasting light and dark shades colours, lacquered surfaces and finishes to further emphasise the light that flows throughout her interior,” he says. "Natural leather and stone were selected to create a warm and welcoming ambience and provide a coherent style throughout the yacht.”
