St Barths Bucket - Review

4th Apr 2012

The 17th edition of the St Barths Bucket was filled with exciting racing from the world's largest sailing yachts. Held between the 22 - 25 March in St Barths’ Gustavia Harbor, the race attracted a wide selection of sailing superyacht owners and their yachts, eager to enjoy a week of competitive fun in the sun.

Camper & Nicholsons’ brokers and clients were there to cheer on a selection of fine sailing yachts from its sale and charter fleet taking part in the racing, including the 54m (177’) Parsifal III from Perini Navi, which came top of its class in Les Grandes Dames, and the 43m (140’7) Koo from Vitters Shipyard.  Camper & Nicholsons' Bob O'Brien was there throughout the racing and commented, "Over 40 boats participated in the 2012 Bucket regatta as well as a packed mooring field of fabulous vessels, including Icon, Vava, Athena and Bystander, positioned to soak up the week's festivities. Camper & Nicholsons hosted fantastic 'at anchor' events aboard the 106' ketch Rosinante of Notika, taking advantage of its prime position by the starting line. The whole event had such a wonderful atmosphere with many happy yacht owners and guests enjoying the racing as well as St Barths' idyllic backdrop and all day long entertainment."

As sponsors of the event, Camper & Nicholsons would like to congratulate all the winners for every class and every race, especially cumulative race winners: This is Us, Lady B, and Blue Too.
