Yachting Symposium returns to Florida

From 9-10 October the 2nd annual Yachting Symposium and Job Fair will be held at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center.

As host to the event, Fort Lauderdale continues to cement its position as the ‘Yacht Capital of the World’ acting as a home base to more than 100 000 yachting professionals, 42 000 vessels and as one of the busiest cruise ports worldwide.  The symposium is an event to diarise as it is set to be bigger and better than before – as it expands in its second year it will include a networking hotspot and job fair.

A separate exhibitor’s hall will showcase companies, consultants and leading experts that offer a variety of products and service to the yachting industry aimed at improving efficiency, careers and profitability. 

The Job Fair will be attended by crew agents, recruiters, employers, training organizations and crew.  Attendees will be exposed to a wide range of yachting positions, including opportunities for shore based professionals. 

New this year is the addition of a Networking Terrace overlooking the grand foyer of the Convention Center and Port Everglades.  The terrace will serve as an ideal platform for making industry contacts and sharing informal discussions, while enjoying complimentary drinks, coffee and snacks.

Crew on all levels can benefit from attending some of the 21 seminars to be hosted during the 2 days of the symposium.  Industry experts, regulatory authorities, consultants, developers, new and experienced crew will have an opportunity to participate in Mastermind Discussions relating to varied aspects of the yachting industry and learn from one another.
