Amalfi Coast
The beauty and tranquillity of the Amalfi coastline stems from a combination of old-world charm and Italy’s appreciation for the finer things in life. Every inch is infused blessed with an abundance of history, culture, art, breathtaking scenery and a love of food. Rich with picturesque shores and beautiful bays, the west coast of Italy and its off-lying islands are both dramatic and idyllic and the best way to discover this graceful stretch of coastline is by yacht.
Further south the seven Aeolian islands have all the right credentials for an upmarket chill-out zone, whilst the strategically positioned rugged island of Sicily has suffered a long history of invasion, and the influence of the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs and Normans is still visible in the shape of beautiful temples and historic buildings.

I always recommend that clients venturing to the Aeolian islands should finish off their charter with a few days ashore on the island of Sicily. The largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily is a world apart from Italy. The island throws together ancient Greek, Roman, Norman, German, Arabic, French and Italian influences in its pastoral landscapes and coastal cities. Cruise along the island’s unique coastline to the bustling capital of Palermo, and disembark in the splendid natural harbour. From here, discover Taormina, one of Sicily’s most famous hilltop towns with a fantastic amphitheatre. Journey to the southwest coast and the Valley of Temples, or to Syracuse on the east coast and the Temple of Athena, one of the world’s most beautifully preserved 5th-century BC Doric temples.
